Circles of Light Guided Visualization Practice (5 mins)

Our guided mindfulness practices are led by Ryan Allen, PHD of Living Lumin. Ryan is a leader in mindful resilience for trauma recovery & trauma-informed care.

What is it?

The ‘Circles of Light’ visualization helps you feel safe and good. It’s about paying attention to what’s happening right now without judging it. With visualization and color, we can sometimes notice things we normally cannot see, such as energy or emotions. We realize we can control the power and movement of this energy within us.

Why it works

When we use visualization:

  1. We can change how we feel inside
  2. We can guide our thoughts and feelings better
  3. We can help make our goals come true

This practice shows us that we are in control and have the power to change our lives. It helps us grow and feel better.

Tips to do it well

Try these ideas to make your visualization better:

  1. Use positive sayings: Say something good to yourself while you imagine. This helps you think and talk to yourself in a healthy way.
  2. Keep it simple and about now: When you say something to yourself:
    • Make it short
    • Make it positive
    • Talk about right now, not the future
  3. Examples of good sayings:
    • “I am healthy.”
    • “Peace starts with me.”
    • “I can handle any situation well.”

How it helps you

Visualization can help you in many ways:

  • Find your inner strength and wisdom
  • Feel less scared and worried
  • Think more positively
  • Take charge of your health and happiness

If you practice the ‘Circles of Light’ visualization often, you can feel more peaceful, in control, and happy in your life.
