Quick Tip

Create a System for Tracking Information

Start a simple notebook or digital tool to systematically track medications, test results, medical conversations, and unfamiliar terms. Record names, dates, and follow-up plans from every medical conversation.

Keep track of all medications, reactions, doctor notes, and care instructions in one place. I filled mine with everything I’d collected and printed—it became my absolute bible for tracking how he responded to medications and remembering all the details nurses and doctors should know.
