Caring for yourself is essential – for your own sake, for the ICU survivor in your life, and for all the other people who care about you.
Just a moment of time and attention to how you’ll take care of yourself can make all the difference.
Think about:
- What routines help you?
- What makes you feel healthy?
- What gives you a break?
Try to:
- Eat and sleep regularly
- Schedule time for yourself (a walk, meditation, coffee with a friend)
- Connect with your family, friends, and faith community for support
Make life easier:
- Set up automatic bill payments
- Get help with chores and meals
- Try grocery delivery
